Fashionista jokingly called this “a funeral for PP Pink,” which is the unfortunately named signature shade that we saw EVERYWHERE for about a year and a half. I assume doing everything in black here provided a sense of cohesion so the designs themselves did not have to? But, sick of pink though we got, Valentino does often do color very well and I missed it here. And will miss it again when half of these turn up in any number of “Celebs That Wore Black” slideshows from the Oscars and beyond.
