The ocean is blue, the Na’vi are blue (I REMEMBERED THEIR NAME, I CANNOT BELIEVE IT), so naturally folks at Avatar 2: The Way of Water either embraced that color, or — in the case of the leads — went with embellishments that have a faintly aquatic feel. Speaking of aquatic, apparently one of the reasons these sequels took 45 years is because James Cameron needed entirely new technology so he could do motion-capture filming underwater. The cast all learned to free dive, and Kate Winslet held her breath in a scene for a record-breaking seven minutes. SEVEN MINUTES. I can barely hold mine for 20 seconds at my mammogram.
