Remember awards season? Sigh. The thing is, some of this is fine. One of them I even like. But all the black is just blahness as usual, in terms of a color story, especially after she trained us to expect better. It’s like if she suddenly stopped making movies and started playing opposite Jon Cryer in a sitcom on TNT: We know too well that she’s capable of more exhilarating heights.
