We saw Penelope Cruz already — pointedly not in Versace, despite being a friend of the brand, although Donatella apparently did send her a big ol’ bunch of flowers — but it’s time to take a look at the rest of the party, including some of. And, we might as well discuss whether you’ll be watching this when it premieres on Jan. 17, which is… a week from today, in fact. I don’t have as clear memories of this one happening as I do — or certainly as Jess did — about the Nicole Simpson murder, but I definitely recall it, and hearing the name “Andrew Cunanan” on the news. And obviously Donatella has become somewhat larger than life, thanks to being drawn in moving caricature in stuff like SNL skits, so I’m very, very curious to see what her friend Penelope does with the part to make her more human and less Maya Rudolph bellowing, “Get OUUUUUUT.”
