These events are always hard to cover, because they’re often the first time we see an actor or an actress — they’re newly cast in a new TV show, and it’s their first big break — and I have NO WAY of knowing if they’re going to prove to be a person whose red carpet debut we’re going to want to have at hand, or if they’re ultimately just going to be a flash in the pan. I wish for the best for you all, Actors Who Have Freshly Scored A Pilot, and I also want you to show up at these parties wearing something insane so that my choice about whether to write about you is easier.
