Well, there is no more wondering to do. Oscar noms came out yesterday, and Sinners made history with 16 nominations that I DEEPLY DEEPLY hope yields victories in major categories. The biggest surprise may have been that Wicked: For Good got zero Oscar nominations. ZERO. Splitting it into two parts unnecessarily was a money grab, for sure, but also a blatant attempt to double their awards chances — especially after they added original songs to part two so that they could get into that category. And they did NOT. I may have chortled.
Also, look how FANTASTIC Danielle Brooks looks up there, announcing the nominees! What an absolute babe and star.

Kevin was bummed that It Was Just An Accident didn’t get in. I remain puzzled by the heat on The Secret Agent; I, too, preferred IWJAA, and maybe actively didn’t like Secret Agent. Doesn’t matter, though. This one, based on vibes from previous shows, is One Battle vs. Sinners, and while I’ve not seen Sinners yet, I sure am not rooting for OBAA.
