Congratulations, red carpet fashion watchers, Cannes starts TODAY. I can’t wait to see what kind of enormous confections a variety of people wear. I think we can rest assured that Michelle Williams — who has two films at the festival this year — will probably not wear anything that could rightly be called either “enormous” or a “confection,” judging from this red carpet retrospective, but…well, I’d be thrilled to be surprised.
