We always enjoy this one — a night for the artists behind the actors to celebrate each other’s outstanding sartorial creativity, and, as ever, advocate for equal pay. And I suspect it was an emotional night as well, because the late Shawna Trpcic won for her work on Ahsoka after passing away unexpectedly this year. This is a neat article about her work on Book of Boba Fett, and in here she’s featured discussing The Mandalorian. I hope her family is proud of how loved and respected she still is, and congratulations to all the winners — one of whom, you bet, is Jacqueline Durran for Barbie. And one was Billie Eilish for her trailblazing style, or somesuch, but she didn’t walk the carpet and I didn’t buy a picture because you can barely see her clothes and WHAT was the indoor/outdoor lighting situation at this nighttime event?!
