The Amiri show, per L’Officiel, was inspired by Laurel Canyon and the ’70s music scene in Hollywood, and they wrote that it’s “a metaphor for luxury that doesn’t look brand new on purpose, the kind of pieces that feel inherited, softened by time, and made to stay in your life.” I actually… kinda do get that from this?!? It’s a cohesive, strong collection and I came up with suggestions for almost every single one of them. Some saner than others, but it was actually fun to contemplate.
