It’s baseball’s All-Star Game weekend, and it’s happening in Los Angeles, so I have to admit: I expected a much starrier group of celebrity players. It should be so easy! So many of them are RIGHT HERE! Having said that, do not despair, because Simu Liu is here, alongside plenty of other unbearded people — but I think it’s the currently hirsute JK Simmons and Bryan Cranston who will delight you the most. Certainly, the jerseys will not. I found an article on the actual All-Star Game jerseys, and the look like they might be pretty sharp, but WHAT is going on with these? It appears that the two teams were framed as the two Dodgers teams — Los Angeles vs Brooklyn — which is a good idea, and the jerseys combine modern and historical, but… the hybrid looks WACKY and why is there MINT GREEN here? They look like a laundry accident.
