Greta Gerwig seems so laid-back that it always surprises me when she and her stylist pull out something bold. Like this, for example. This is a really lively and fun frock, but it is BUSY, and as such, I feel like it’s overwhelming her. It needs edge and a little creativity, or at least some magic sauce. Or a smoky eye? Or some lipstick? SOMETHING, anything, other than throw-your-hair-back-and-go — a vibe I conditionally support, but which this dress is eating alive.
