For those of you who do not recall this film about rich royal people having romantical problems in olden times, penned and directed by Madonna, please let me refresh your memory via this excerpt from its (quite interesting) Wiki:

The film tells the story of two women separated by over six decades. In 1998, lonely New Yorker Wally Winthrop is obsessed with King Edward VIII’s abdication of the British throne so he could marry American Wallis Simpson. But Wally’s research, including several visits to Sotheby’s auction of the Windsor estate, reveals that the couple’s life together was not as perfect as she thought. Traveling back and forth in time, W.E. intertwines Wally’s journey of discovery in New York with the story of Wallis and Edward from the early days of their romance to the unraveling of their lives over the following decades.

This obviously is theoretically extremely my jam, but this movie (although ambitious in a way I appreciate) is not good. Oscar Isaac, however, is in it, and the costumes are fantastic (and very complex). And Madonna did a full-court press in promoting it, and while the movie might have slid off the tracks, she and her stylist nailed the press tour. She looks so good! Please join me in appreciating this.
