Taraji P. Henson wore this to a premiere of Darlene Love: I Know Where I’ve Been, a documentary about Darlene Love that she helped produce. And this is VERY INTENTIONALLY over the top, I think: Taraji is a pro and knows that wearing something this eye-catching will get her press, and that said press will mention her documentary, and that therefore makes it press for said documentary. And, indeed, here we are! It worked! She looks like she’s attending a sexy Star Wars-themed funeral, sure — but it’s all for a good cause. Because I do want to watch that documentary now. Win-win-win.
