I love soaps. I miss soaps. I wish we could’ve kept them all on the air in seasons, like say, split the year between One Life to Live and All My Children. Imagine what would happen when they had to write cliffhangers that stretched MONTHS, rather than just the length of a weekend. It would have been amazing. Here are some of the folks from this year’s Daytime Emmys, many of whom are familiar faces to those of you who would’ve consumed the genre the same time I did. Nancy Lee Grahn in particular stepped up with some on-point messaging.
