I watched all four previous seasons of Stranger Things, warts and all, and yet — even despite covering TWO premieres now — I keep forgetting it has arrived, and most of the people I know are tuning in somewhat grudgingly and out of completist urges. Somehow, they have taken the wait between seasons and managed to DECREASE momentum. What a depressing magic trick.
