Imagine my shock to meander over to our image providers, wondering what to unearth for today, only to discover NEW PHOTOS. From HOLLYWOOD. That didn’t involve people walking around town with Dunkin’ Donuts iced drinks. A film called aTypical Wednesday — not a typo — held a small premiere screening on the roof of The Montalban Hotel, outdoors, with distancing, and a lot of mask use. Was this a good idea? I don’t know. The Covid numbers in LA County are trending in a bad direction, too, so I can’t even guess at how many more of these anyone will even attempt. But I certainly hope it works out swimmingly, and it’s interesting to see snippets of how they managed it in a way that made people comfortable coming (Seth Green and Michael Ealy didn’t show, but for all we know, it was for completely unrelated reasons). Come on in and admire the masks, and the thermometer.
