It’s a Friday. It’s the last day of school. I’m supposed to be packing. I still have no kitchen. So it seems like a good idea to exhale into the weekend via Chadwick Boseman, whose commitment to color and unusual cuts has really punctuated the overall push for more interesting menswear. He didn’t start the fire — it was always burning, since the world’s been turning — but he absolutely tossed more fuel onto it and made people take better notice. The proportions are bizarre on those pants, to where they faintly evoke a WWII paratrooper, so not every experiment is a blazing success, but:

When he hits, he REALLY hits. I don’t even like blue and black together very much, and yet this is my favorite of what he’s worn in a while. Thank you, Chadwick, for this fortifying snazz.
