Serena looks awesome: strong, beautiful, glamorous, and like she’s going to hit the court in January and repeat that Australian Open title. I have no idea if she plans to come back that soon, but it’s believable to me that she could. I’m of the mind that she can do pretty much anything. This dress fits her so well, and showcases the strong body she’s sculpted her entire life and career, and which just had a baby to boot.
Apparently, Serena and Gigi Hadid are great friends. I had no idea, but there was Serena, on-stage at the WOTY event in a dress that Gigi wore down the runway, telling everyone Gigi is one of the few people in the world for whom she’d leave her newborn for the night (speaking of, LOOK AT THIS SQUISHY NOODLE). And while I think it is EXTREMELY GENEROUS to imply that Gigi Hadid is the Serena Williams of models after only three years on the circuit, Serena noted of their bond, “She understands that in order to be the best, you have to think like you are the best, work the hardest, and make sacrifices.” Friendship: It’s what’s for dinner.
