The Washington Post recently profiled Daniel Roseberry (that’s a gifted link), and he talked about his approach to clothes as if they’r e pop music: “What’s the hook?” I don’t always know the answer to that question with all his outfits, but his gigantic lobster here is a reference to the famous Elsa Schiaparelli/Salvador Dali dress. There’s also a crab and an even bigger fish, Shalom Harlow opening the show in a bob, and Kendall Jenner closing it in a bouffant and a dress that is supposedly sequins but totally looks from a distance like it’s made of press-on nails. Which I’m now surprised that Jeremy Scott, for one, never did. (Did he?)
