JLC’s awards season wardrobe — courtesy of her stylist Jane Ross, with whom she’s been working for twenty years — is probably the least varied one of all the actress nominees. This makes sense: She’s old enough to know what looks good on her, and rich and established enough that she has no ulterior need to make a splash. She also spent half of this awards season thinking she wasn’t going to win the Oscar, I suspect, so nothing about this collection of clothing was designed to do anything other than be comfortable and look attractive and professional. Mission accomplished!
