Longtime readers of GFY know that we’ve never really covered Michelle Obama — or any other First Ladies –because we don’t want the comments to become a political battleground, which we feared was unavoidable (much as many readers who live in monarchical societies bristle at the royals coverage, politicians and their families tend to be lightning rods for arguments). But FLOTUS’s European tour was FULL of outfits, most of them patterns, which are — as you know — tough for us to resist. So here goes our first attempt at covering the First Lady, in the hopes that we can keep the comments about the clothes, and that any and all disagreements in this vein or any other will remain as civil and classy as Fug Nation is widely known to be.
