Rachel is promoting Dead Ringers, her new show that was shooting back in August of 2021, and which is a remake of the Jeremy Irons movie. I am happy to see her back in our rotation, but this is not quite clicking for me. It is… a dress that has been placed on her body. It’s not especially flattering, and somehow the little v-loop situation makes it look like it sits lower than it probably does; I have the same issue with bathing suits in this style. Her head-styling looks completely unrelated to it. This is a formal red dress, but her face and hair are on their way back from brunch. She has never struck me as someone who cares all that much about major fashion moments, but it WOULD be fun for her to have a Hathaway-style emergence, where she’s either all wacky and directional, or she’s adopting crisply tailored suits and cape dresses that lean into Behold, Your Overlord territory. Just putting it out there. I would consider her cult, if she started one.
