The mandate was probably to pick something that would look good in photos for the rest of her life, but also maintain a little a pizzazz. I admit it, with its recent Kardashian track record, I’m astonished she found the answer in Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy (it was one of his final designs as head of the house). Her win wasn’t unexpected, but that part was a pleasant surprise.
