It’s true that it feels like we have always had Beyonce Knowles, but of course, she was a Child of Destiny before she was the Queen Bey, and that meant being part of a closely coordinated trio. I wonder what discussions happened that led to Kelly Rowland getting the outlier bra, and Michelle and Beyonce getting the two that are clear and obvious siblings. But then Beyonce got the head-scarf to set her apart, as the frontwoman, and then there’s the whole shorts/pants/loincloth versatility here… I would love to know the calculus here by Tina Knowles. I imagine a towering pile of notebooks in a storage unit somewhere in Houston.
