I Wanna Dance With Somebody is the Whitney Houston biopic that comes out on Christmas weekend, and, while I don’t know if the movie itself is any good, the commercial at least SOUNDS great, as they’re using Whitney’s actual vocals. The film is produced by Clive Davis, so I’m not sure how deeply it is going to delve into Whitney’s demons — but perhaps it doesn’t need to. The lead role feels like such a juicy part, and also such big shoes for anyone to try to fill, and I love that Naomi Ackie went big and bold for the premiere.
