Ugh, I am deeply sad to report that Rafa Nadal lost in the first round of the French — a tournament so wholly his that I believe he had NEVER gone out this early before, in his ENTIRE career? — and we have no way of knowing yet whether that’s his last. But I have to hope NOT, because he lost to the terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad Sascha Zverev, and I do not want them any more connected in the history books than they already have to be. Like, THAT dude cannot have ended Nadal’s Roland Garros career. Just no. Somewhere Roger Federer is crying a single tear and lighting a candle.
Otherwise, I only JUST located a channel that’s rerunning the matches, so I haven’t had a chance to see anything yet (the time zones really do not align for this one). Fill me in on what I’m missing!
