Moschino is best known for decorating its models in a steady stream of camp, but this season, the clothes were sedate and the models themselves provided the twisted ambiance. Alex Winter — you might know him as Bill S. Preston, Esquire — produced Jeremy Scott’s Fashion Week film and runway show for Moschino, and the Jim Henson shop crafted the marionette models, an audience (tiny A-Dubs and Edward Enninful and Nina Garcia! I hope they’re sent them as gifts), and even a mini Jeremy Scott himself, who’s been tight with them since he dressed Miss Piggy in The Muppets. It’s been fascinating to see how brands are stretching themselves and their creative capital during this pandemic, and I hope that’s one thing that keeps going even once we hopefully snuff out Covid itself.
