Vogue assures me that this show was extremely Marc Jacobs. I will trust that, because I am far from a student of Marc’s work. There is a certain welcome simplicity to some of them — in the past we’ve seen some Marc Jacobs shows that are insane pile-ups of clothing items — but there are also a few where it feels like he’s mimicking the effect of those stretchy Balenciaga bootaloons, which… I really hope we left those in the past.
