This is a gala that Michael Kors hosts yearly to benefit a New York City organization called God’s Love We Deliver — which I know personally because Joan Rivers was its spokesperson for MANY years — which delivers home-cooked meals to people who need them, because they’re suffering from a serious or chronic illness. It’s a GREAT cause, and it’s also nice (to me, anyway), to see people supporting such a local organization. (We have a similar charity here in LA called Project Angel Food.) A lot of these charities grew out of the AIDS crisis, and still exist to help people who need it. So! It’s nice to see people wearing interesting outfits to support something helpful. Let’s eyeball!
