Viola Davis basically lost it when she read Michael B. Jordan’s name for the Best Actor Actor Award — also, Exhibit A for how silly the name change is — and the entire room followed suit. As I said in our live chat, I think the only person rooting for Timothee Chalamet in that room was Timothee Chalamet, and that isn’t even directed at HIM so much as MBJ’s work is widely beloved and he seems like a wonderful guy and I think everyone would like him to reap rewards. And he played two parts!!! Which is apt considering he started acting in earnest on a soap opera. Anyhoo, MBJ brought his mother, who wore metallic, which is a perfect entree into a post about everyone else who did. It’s a lot of good stuff.
