Welcome back to The Sartorial World of Margot Robbie. In our previous slideshow, which covered the first period of her rise to fame, Margot wore a refreshingly wide variety of designers. The morning of the 2018 Oscars, Chanel announced it had signed her as its newest ambassador, locking her in for all major events. But the most interesting thing I learned in compiling this: how little Chanel she actually did wear. It started out hot and heavy, petered out in 2019, and then was sporadic thanks to Covid until the alleged end of her deal at the end of 2022. She’s dabbled here and there, maybe just to be polite or cash out her chips; otherwise, she wasn’t nearly as exclusive as we thought.

Note: I excluded everything she wore for the Barbie press, because that’s such a specific project.
