a) Lupita is not in the new Candyman, but the movie was co-written by Jordan Peele, and she was, of course, in his film Us, which is the connective tissue explaining why she’s hosting this screening.
b) This dress is appealing. Somehow it is professional AND summer-y, which is always a slightly tight line to walk. Like, she looks physically AND figuratively cool. She could be going into her office, going to dinner, or attending to any number of professional responsibilities….which I guess is exactly what she’s doing.
c) These shoes should get a Lifetime Achievement Award from International Shoe Trends Aficionado Magazine, a thing that doesn’t technically exist, but should.
