If The Father is any indication, I’m guessing The Son is not a laugh riot, so I appreciate Laura Darn adding some visual zest to the proceedings. Christopher John Rogers’s designs are generally an instant mood boost, and this one has a zippy Tron-but-actually-fun feel to it. Maybe she can fuse these two and come out with a project called The Tron, in which a woman is stuck in a video game about generational trauma. Although in some ways, depending on how you play, that game might already exist and might be called The Sims. Happy Tuesday! It’s a little early in the week for me to stop making sense, but let’s go with it.
