I am DELIGHTED to inform you of the following, per Vogue:
..the show opened to the recognizable timbre of Joan Collins in one of her most iconic moments as Alexis Carrington Colby in Dynasty: “You’ve heard him, Blake, you’re finished, you’ve lost everything, and I am now the owner of this house[…] I’m perfectly sane, so take this junk and your blonde tramp, and get out of my home.” Collins and her co-star Diahann Carroll were muses here.
First of all, this IS one of Alexis’s most iconic moments — it is also the scene from which Heather and I got our Twitter avatar! — and if you haven’t seen it, it is AMAZING:
THAT is an episode out! (Spoiler: Blake does not choke Alexis to death, she goes on to torture him for several more seasons.) Thank god SOMEONE is looking out for those of us who want to dress for revenge.
