“The Swedish School of Textiles” is not some ironic, artsy-fartsy name for a New York brand being bankrolled by two rich parents and a venture capitalist. This is literally the senior show from the Swedish School of Textiles, which is an excellent school for art and design in, yes, Sweden. They showed recently during Copenhagen Fashion Week, which is their usual slot in recent years after many years showing in Stockholm. I unfortunately do not currently have info about the designers who showed in this show, and you can only see half of their names in the photos — the one website that seems like it would have it is down right now? — but it’s cool to see what design students are working on, and a lot of these are very interesting pieces.
