Before I even read that Naeem’s theme was “Champagne wishes and caviar dreams,” it seemed evident from the glittery backdrop that he was primed for a party. Then again, when isn’t he? That theme could apply to MOST of his collections — and oddly, I didn’t find this one to be as universally dreamy as many of his others. Kate Beckinsale, the surprise closer, headed to Toronto after this show; I wonder how many pieces she got to take with her. I’m not as into the Warrior Princess look she got handed for this, but the penultimate dress has potential. And maybe… slide 11? Or 28, without the matching floaties? Lots of options.
