I really thought it would turn out that Blake Lively — whom we saw earlier today — produced this movie, given how much of a sweat she’s broken promoting it. She’s done the shows, the pap walks, the social media stuff… she’s everywhere. But no! From what I can tell, she doesn’t have that credit; she’s just a major team player. Justin Baldoni of Jane the Virgin (and of course Spring Break Shark Attack, which I thought we fugged, but alas, no, apparently I only covered Sharknado) optioned the book and directed it in addition to playing the villain. He’s been curiously absent from the three-ring circus until right this second. Better late than never? He has no projects listed on IMDb, so maybe he was just… unavoidably detained.
