As much as the Met seems like a fun idea, I wonder if the novelty wears off REAL QUICK once you’re actually there and trying to get inside, or if you DO get inside and you are stuck waiting three and a half hours for Cardi B’s dress to be fully wrangled and you accidentally get way too drunk to function. Anya Taylor-Joy might actually be thrilled that she got to consume it the way the rest of us do, in comfy clothes and from the comfort of her group chat.

Having said that: Maybe this is her nod to the Met Gala — the flowers represent the garden, and her footwear is decaying my soul. This is her second outing in those, and they have not improved. Also, amusingly, I was about to make a joke about whether she had to have this placed on her body while standing and then simply walk to the event, because she cannot possibly sit safely in that thing… and that’s exactly what she did.

For her second outfit, Anya chose to dress as a human handbag:

If this actually turned INTO a handbag, Transformers-style, I would be into it.
