I lost track of this show after Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough were fired, and Gabrielle’s ensuing allegations of behind-the-scenes sexism and racism. Apparently, it must go on, and it will do so with Heidi Klum on the panel once more, joined this time by Sofia Vergara, who needs a gig now that Modern Family is finished. My feelings are that Heidi must really have wanted that paycheck? If I were her, and I were perfectly capable of getting paid in other ways, I wouldn’t have wanted to wade back into those waters and be perceived as dismissing the very real concerns of a former employee — oh, wait, too late. Well, at the very least, I hope (against hope, probably) NBC doesn’t sweep its investigation of what happened under the rug just because it filled the empty seats.
