First, and because I know folks will be wondering: I did not see any full-length, straight-on photos of her from the back, but from what I CAN tell, this dress is not as, uh, butt-forward as you might worry. It is, in fact, seemingly very concerned about Careful Sequin Placement, and in these dark days, isn’t that truly all we can ask anymore? Her illusion netting is back in the game and earning its keep:
Personally, I wonder if the feathered waistband detailing is gilding the lily here — the shoulders and the hem are enough feather detailing for anything but a duster — but how exciting to be in a place where we can all think hard for ten minutes about whether or not we’ve have asked that to be axed. A blessing not to be ignored!
