Is this over the top? Certainly. (She is, for context, accepting an award in her native Germany. I hope she isn’t taking too much important time away from her Halloween prep!) Is it also charming and fun? Absolutely. Does this seem like something she pulled to attend a Barbie screening that she ultimately wasn’t able to attend? For sure. But why not repurpose it? (That last question was just 100% rhetorical.)
