They shot Ted Lasso season 4 immediately after Ride or Die, and now Hannah Waddingham is going to promote them one after the other, too (Lasso comes out in early August). It’s not, perhaps, a trial on the scale of Spider-Man into The Odyssey into Dune 3, or The Devil Wears Prada and Mother Mary roughly concurrently and THEN The Odyssey and then being pregnant and also Verity and The End of Oak Street, but still. This outfit is fairly low effort, probably like a gentle lead-in to Lasso, and it’s perhaps unintentionally sheer. But it DEFINITELY is also designed to remind people that Body Be Banging, and on that front, it is working. Octavia also kept it pretty casual except for the jacket, so I wonder if they conferred. They play best friends. Maybe they wanted to look like they had a mind-meld.
This is fine, but maybe… also a tribute to when someone spills their coffee all over themselves before a job interview.
But that skirt is cute. Don’t let the coffee get that one.
