News broke mid-day yesterday that Tina Turner had died following a long illness, a loss that I suspect caused most of us to gasp when we saw the news pop up on Twitter or on our phones. Although she was 83 and in ill-health, Tina Turner always seemed to have such a powerful life force to her that she might well live forever. An iconic voice, paired with iconic legs, and iconic hair — a legend for real. Simply, to borrow a phrase, the best. Let’s take a look back at some of her earlier moments. Spoiler: This woman could wear fringe.
