It’s been a long time since I watched a Ryan Murphy joint, so you’ll have to tell me if you agree that any of this evokes his aesthetic. I suppose this first one could feel Scream Queens. And I do recall an old American Horror Story — I believe the witchcraft season — where Frances Conroy shrieked “BALENCIAGAAAA” on a hill, perhaps before she died? Or do I have that twisted? I could definitely see a lot of these people wailing in picturesque solitude, and then catching fire. Maybe we need American Horror Story: Couture Week. (There IS some stuff in here we’ll see at the Emmys, I’ll wager.)
