I mean, come on! When AMC reached out to us to see if we wanted to give away DVDs/Blu-Rays of the third season of Killing Eve, I of course was going to say yes.  (They are available to the world at large as of this past Tuesday.) Does any show marry amazing outfits with stabby murder with bad-ass ladies (of all ethical persuasions) any better? The answer is no. (Frankly, I could watch it with the sound off just to look at Fiona Shaw’s various great houses/coats while she floats around drinking things and casually revealing various lovers.)

Let’s flip this thing over and see what the back says, shall we?

Nominated for eight Primetime Emmys (including Outstanding Drama Series and two nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series), this thrilling 8-episode series is the story of two women with brutal pasts, addicted to each other, trying desperately to live apart. Featuring fantastic returning performances by Golden Globe and SAG Award winner Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy) and Emmy Award winner Jodie Comer (The White Princess), the third season includes a stellar ensemble cast, both new and returning.

The third season of the award-winning drama continues the story of two women with brutal pasts, addicted to each other but now trying desperately to live their lives without their drug of choice. For Villanelle (Comer), the assassin without a job, Eve (Oh) is dead. For Eve, the ex-MI6 operative hiding in plain sight, Villanelle will never find her. All seems fine until a shocking and personal death sets them on a collision course yet again. The journey back to each other will cost both of them friends, family, and allegiances…and perhaps a share of their souls.

Also you are going to want to see Harriet Walter as a very very stabby former Olympic gymnast. She is highly entertaining.

THE TASK:  I will be picking two winners, and you have your choice of DVD or BluRay! (Technically speaking, it’s a 2-Disc DVD or Blu-ray set with 24 minutes of bonus features.) To enter, please comment and share your favorite Lady Crimefighter — fictional or real! (Eve isn’t a very good crimefighter, so please know that the perimeters for this prompt are very fluid.)

THE RULES: All entries must be posted in the comments of this post by 9 p.m. Pacific time on Sunday. FYI, if this is the first time you’ve commented here, the system will automatically kick you into comment moderation, but don’t worry, I will rescue you.  (Open to US readers only; all prizing courtesy of AMC.)
