Parts of this show feel like Schiaparelli-lite to me — it will always be hard to do quirky gold accents, like the “bra” made of hands above, without evoking that house — and then parts have the sculptural sweep (and surprising interest in fancy bathing caps) that Gupta has always done. Kylie Jenner was not at this show, but I could easily see her in slide 14. And I wonder what Zendaya would or could do with slide 13.
