Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans! I am grateful for you! Thanks for hanging out with all us these years. We’re taking the next couple of days off for the holiday but will be back at it on Monday. Hope you have a lovely long weekend!

At Drinks With Broads, Heather reports from the F1 race in Vegas! And I, uh, report on a new pie from Taco Bell.

Here, we have a very extensive Black Friday/Cyber Monday post rounding up a bunch of good sales and if we have any codes for additional savings. Definitely check it throughout the weekend, if you’re in the market, because I will keep updating it, if need be. Happy shopping!

This is well-worth your time: Viola Fletcher, Oldest Survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Dies at 111.

I’m sure you’ve heard about Tatiana Schlossberg’s heartbreaking and beautiful essay about her terminal cancer diagnosis but it is an exceptional piece. I think a lot of us were hit particularly by the part where she talks about how she’s tried her entire life to make things easy for her mother; I have to confess that when I saw these headlines, my second thought, after about Tatiana herself, was, “oh god, poor Caroline.” This piece is also a very elegant eff you to Tatiana’s shit-head cousin, RFK Jr. (I’ve long said that I hope his father haunts him every single night.)

An amazing story about a guy taking what they call the hardest driving test in the world: The Knowledge, the test to become a London black-cab driver.

This made me laugh: I’m Being Driven Insane by Wicked: For Good’s Sex Cardigan. Uh, spoilers, I guess? (I am likely never going to watch a Wicked — no offense! I love musicals (AND The Wizard of Oz) but this one is not for me!! — but this is entertaining.)

So interesting: The New Hollywood Must-Have? The Status Ghostwriter

This is amazing: Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh journalists return to their jobs at the Post-Gazette after three years on strike. GOOD FOR THEM!

Glen Powell Romance Watch!

The Keira Knightley Pride and Prejudice is 20 years old?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?  This is a terrific piece about it. (I like this version very much. I am a person with DEFINITE preferences in my Little Women — the Winona Ryder one is my personal definitive version, although I liked the Gerwig one and actually think Florence Pugh is the best of the Amys — but I love almost all the P&Ps, if we’re talking about Adaptations of Beloved Books About Sisters Getting Married, Etc.)

Fun, at House and Garden UK: The quintessentially British junk food you have to try (according to the H&G team). Half of these, I have no idea what they are and that makes reading this piece EXTREMELY FUNNY because it’s just like people waxing poetic about ridiculous-sounding things. (I OF COURSE know what Hobnobs are.)
