This week went fast! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend. I’m getting my Covid/fly shot so, you know. Big doings over here!

In case you missed it, our big GFY gift guide came out this week! We also discussed the organizations we supported for Giving Tuesday, and I rounded up a bunch of really cute holiday wrapping papers.

Over at Drinks With Broads, we discussed a variety of things we missed over the holiday (like Apple Martin’s modeling career and Nobody Wants This), and I dove into one of my most unhinged vintage cookbooks while Heather took on Netflix’s new slate of holiday moves.

This is very funny AND interesting: How would an immortal person maintain legal identification over decades or centuries without raising suspicion?

This is gonna be…interesting: Netflix to Buy Warner Bros. in $83 Billion Deal to Create a Streaming Giant

Lainey wonders, What are we in for with Mother Mary?

I’m OBSESSED with Richard E. Grant’s house!!!!

This is cool: a website counting down all the stuff entering the public domain next year, advent-calendar-style.

I am very intrigued by this lip/eye liner/brow pencil/highlighter pen. It’s like a clicky ballpoint pen! (I also didn’t realize Nordstorm sells Cadence now. This is unrelated to the pen, I just noticed it while I was tootling around over there. In case you get a gift certificate!)

So interesting: How the Disappearance of Flight 19, a Navy Squadron Lost in 1945, Fueled the Legend of the Bermuda Triangle

Love this piece about dollhouses. (I love dollhouses in general.)

A fascinating piece about the family business that makes the wigs that British barristers wear. Since 1689!!

If you’re looking for a gift for a man, I just got this cardigan for my husband and it’s VERY nice and cozy.

Quince is now selling…caviar?! WHY NOT. (I noticed this when I went over to replace some leggings. I feel like leggings are the polar opposite of caviar. Having said, that, they DO have good leggings.)

Also, if you’re in the market for new bras, Bare Necessities is having a decent sale, including 50% off on Wacoal, which I know (from our post about bras!) a lot of you love. (They also have a lot of sports bras. Who knew! [I accidentally originally wrote they had sports BARS, which is a totally different thing.)

Fascinating: The Witches of Wall Street

Bon Appetit has named their 16 best new cookbooks of the year! (I love a list of cookbooks.)

An important question: Is There a Better Way to Cut a Cake?

I also just noticed that my favorite eye bag cream — what a time to be alive, what a thing to type — is currently on sale. It does really work. It’s not PERMANENT, it just works for several hours. (They claim it does have a cumulative effect over time but I’m not sure I’ve used it often enough to tell one way or the other. I DO think my bags/circles are better this week but this might just be compared to last week, when I looked [and was] exhausted. Like, my bags had bags.)

This house is AMAZING.
