There’s something about this that makes me think it ought to be a dated photo.
Maybe it’s just that Olivia Pope is busy negotiating her own sale to terrorists, so it’s jarring to see her in ANY other context. But it’s also the Church social hair, and the fact that the dress uses a lingerie-style neckline that we saw SO much of back in the Aughts when times were simpler and red-carpet fashions was more horrifying. Kerry looks SO happy, which is a huge selling point, but I can’t help thinking this lacks a sophistication and/or polish that even her worst outfits usually have. Well, except for that prairie dress she wore when she was hiding her pregnancy. The only polish THAT thing had was two weeks later when Ma Ingalls used it to rub the tarnish off her good forks.
