Unquestionably, this is better than her recent pantalunacy.

It’s otherwise serviceable, maybe pretty. Actually, it probably IS pretty. But I’m too distracted by a little detail we noticed on the carpet while talking to her — and no, it’s not that she’s a knockout in person, although that is certainly true, and is about as surprising as Brenda Walsh in a necktie (which is to say, not at all). No, here was my beef:

On a very basic physics level, I understand that she needed the netting to hold the two sides of this dress together. But I wonder if industrial strength boob tape couldn’t have done the job also, in a more attractive way. The strip of netting looked weirdly cheap, like she’d pillaged a first-grade ballet recital. Or am I being too harsh? Wouldn’t THAT be news. Har. At the very least, she should be congratulated that gravity appears to have left her chest admirably unmolested. Mine just started crying a little.
